Richard Parker Jr.

Richard Earl Parker, Jr., age 64, passed away on August 19, 2020 in Norman, Oklahoma.

Richard was born on June 1, 1956 in Liberal, Kansas to parents Richard Earl Parker, Sr. and Thelma Joan (Kidd) Parker.

Richard was raised in Seminole, Oklahoma and graduated from Seminole High School in 1974, but was currently living in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Richard married Shahla Djamshidi on December 23, 2008 in Moore, Oklahoma.

Richard worked in the oil and gas industry as a drilling and completion consultant.

Surviving Richard is his wife, Shahla of the home, his son; James Parker of Fort Worth, Texas, his daughters; Crystal Parker of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and Sara Parker and Clayton Aicklen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, sisters; Mary Bryan of Seminole, Oklahoma and Denise Templeton of Summerfield, North Carolina, and 4 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Earl Parker, Sr. and Thelma Joan Parker and his brother Dennis Parker.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with the Rev. Elizabeth Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, east of Seminole.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
