Victor Richardson
Victor “Vic” Roy Richardson, age 68, lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away August 24, 2020 at his home.
He was born October 12, 1951 in Seminole to parents Dan Richardson and Bernice (Anderson) Richardson.
He graduated from Seminole High School in 1969 and received a Master’s degree from East Central University. He married Maureen Yeager on June 1, 1973 in Wewoka Oklahoma.
Vic was a member of the Seminole Church of Christ.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to his grandkids’ ballgames. He was a member of the National Wildlife Turkey Federation.
Vic started the girl’s slow-pitch and fast-pitch softball programs at Seminole High School. His team won the slow-pitch State Championship in 1995, 1996 and 1997. He coached 10 years and won 8 district and 3 regional championships. His team made it to the State Tournament 9 out of 10 years in slow-pitch and twice in fast-pitch. He was a member of the Seminole Alumni Hall of Fame for softball and received the Oklahoma Slow-Pitch Hall of Fame Coach Award in 2010.
Surviving Vic are his wife of 47 years; Maureen of the home, his son; Zachary Richardson and his wife Misty of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, his daughter; Ashley Noey of Seminole, Oklahoma, his brother; Will Richardson and his wife Lynda of Mansfield, Texas, his sister; Deanna Armstrong and her husband Ivan of Stillwater, Oklahoma and grandchildren; Noah, Elijah and Lydia Reece, Chilo and Braxton and Emma and Ethan Noey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters; Sandra Richardsonn, Ina Jean McQueen, Alpha Young and Wanna Williams.
A Celebration of Vic’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the Seminole Church of Christ with Arpoika Daniels officiating.
