Beaver Ward, age 75 of Shawnee, OK passed away at his home surrounded by family Sunday, August 23, 2020.
He was born June 24, 1945 in Holdenville, OK to the late Leroy Ward and Cindy McGeeley Long.
He was a graduate of Holdenville high school and wasa self-employed welder and construction worker.
On June 19, 1985 he married Sarah Leitka.
She preceded him in death June 5, 2016.
Preceding Beaver in death are his parents, wife , son Leroy Travis Burns and brother Robert McGeeley.
Survivors include children Kimberly Vermillion of Shawnee, OK, Robin Perry of Seminole, OK, Regina Ward of Shawnee, OK, Maria Frye of Kansas, Nickolas Nadeau of Seminole, OK: eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; Brothers Louis McGeeley of Tulsa, OK, Wayne McGeeley of Holdenville, OK: sisters Idalene Taylor of Holdenville, OK, Jennie McGeeley of Holdenville, OK; Collene Larney of Oklahoma City.
His body will be taken to Salt Creek Methodist Church at 4:00 PM Thursday, August 27, 2020 for a 7:00 PM Wake service.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 28, 2020 at Salt Creek Methodist Church with Pastor Junior McGeeley officiating and Pastor Paul Fixico assisting, burial to follow at McGeeley Family Cemetery Wewoka, OK.
