Wewoka Middle School has incorporated an Acellus STEM Lab into its curriculum this year. Through the efforts of the district pursuing different grant opportunities they have had the chance to let the students experience coding first hand. Students work through an online program that teaches students how to debug, encrypt, and build code through interactive lessons. The students have had a year of coding experience under their belt and look to continue to grow their knowledge base. As they continue to move forward in the program they gain practical knowledge that can be used in the future. Students start working in the 3rd Grade and progress through courses that build the foundation for advanced technical pathways at the high school level.
