George Wood

George Curtis Wood, 95 year old Margate, Florida resident, passed from this life Sunday, March 8, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Vero Beach, Florida on July 16, 1924 to parents Bert Wood and Sudie (Fennel) Wood. George served our Country having served in the United States Navy, Army and Air Force earning the rank of Captain and serving in the Korean War.

George went on to earn his Engineering Degree and worked for General Electric retiring after 36 years.

On October 16, 1944 George married the love of his life Alice Ann (Noe) Wood in Seminole, Oklahoma. Sadly she passed away in 2007. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 12, 2020 at the Historic Strother Chapel located in Maple Grove Cemetery.

George will be laid to rest by his wife of 63 years.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home located in Seminole, Oklahoma.
