Hendricks Seminole resident, Marvin Ben Hendricks, 80, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024, in Seminole.

Marvin, the son of Thomas Ben and Dortha (Fowler) Hendricks, was born September 18, 1944, in Seminole, Oklahoma. On February 11, 1972, he married Mary Ann (Zachary) Sanford in Sulphur. He and his late wife, Mary moved to Seminole, where they made their home. Marvin proudly served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran. One never saw him without his Vietnam veteran cap. He worked as an operator of a pulling unit in the oilfield. In his later years he loved working at Strother Elementary School as a custodian.

Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Hendricks and his parents; sons, Ronald Sanford, Randy Sanford and Ricky Sanford; two sisters, Dorthy Overbey and Gail Bendelow.

Marvin is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Ledeane Sanford, of Tulsa, Tina Starr Hendricks, of Shawnee, and Paula Dawn Hendricks, of Oklahoma City; three granddaughters, one grandson and their children; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Treasa Hendricks, of Seminole; one sister, Helen Darr, of Seminole; sister-inlaw, Anna Buist of Ogden, Utah; along with many other family members and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
