Helen Virginia (Loftis) Rush, former Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away on October 3, 2019 at her home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 93. She was born May 25, 1926 in Little Rock, Arkansas to parents Henry Loftis and Sara (Cline) Loftis. She worked as a nurse’s aide in nursing homes in the Oklahoma City area until her retirement.
Virginia is survived by her son; Vester Rush and his wife Mary of Norman, Oklahoma, daughters; Barbara Jackson of the home, Carolyn Cole of Atoka, Oklahoma, Jackie Chancellor of Oklahoma city, Oklahoma and Renee James of Drum-right, Oklahoma, daughter-in-law; Margaret Rush of Newcastle, Oklahoma, 27 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Vester Rush, sisters; Nona Abney, Altie Hatchell, Opal Howard and Athalane Loftis, brother; Marvin Loftis, sons; Larry Rush and Ronny Rush, granddaughter; Terri Lynn Cooper and daughter-in-law; Junna Rush.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., October 7, 2019 at Little Cemetery, north of Seminole, Oklahoma with Bruce Christian-son officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
