Joseph Farlon Holley, longtime Seminole County resident, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at SSM Health St Anthony’s Hospital Midwest City at the age of 82.

Joe was born February 7, 1940 in Covington County, Alabama to Eli and Leola (Heisler) Holley. He enlisted in the US Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a paratrooper and medic with 101st Airborne Unit. Joe received his honorable discharge on October 23, 1967.

After serving in the military, Joe enjoyed growing and raising his family in Clarksville, TN while serving as Deacon at Little West Fork Baptist Church. He also served as Interim Pastor at Trinity Baptist Church in Clarksville, TN. Joe later moved to Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, OK. He served as Pastor at Seventh Street Baptist Church in Wewoka, OK. He loved his church family at Harvey Road Baptist Church in Seminole and enjoyed spending time at the Heritage House in Seminole.

Survivors include his children, Mark Holley, David Holley and wife Sandy, Pamela Spears and husband Chris and Charles Holley and wife Dana; grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Brittney, Holli Anne, Lauren, Allison, Charley, Kaydance, Braylen, Weslin and Noah; two brothers, Eli Holley and Robin Holley and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Leola Holley; one brother, Huelon Holley and one sister, Janice Holley.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 1:30 PM at Harvey Road Baptist Church in Seminole with Pastor Colton Arbuckle officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of OK Cremation & Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
