Georgie Grimes

Georgie Grimes age 89, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at her home in Wewoka, OK. She was born December 19, 1932 to the late Richard Williams and Minnie Pearl (Ray) Williams. She married James Harold Grimes on June 19, 1951.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, working in the yard, playing basketball and softball, and spending time with her family.

Georgie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Patsy Arbuckle, brother, Phillip Williams, son in law, Tommy Orr.

She is survived by her children, Carolyn Orr of Moore, OK, Danny Grimes and wife Karin of Wewoka, OK, Billy Grimes of Wewoka, OK, Donald Grimes of Wewoka, OK, Ronald Grimes and wife Lilly of Tulsa, OK, James Grimes of Newalla, OK, Keith Grimes and wife Dianne of Newalla, OK, 17 grandchildren, siblings, Wallace Williams of Wewoka, OK, May Hoover, June Escoe, Jewel Green, Jack Williams, John Williams, Selah Williams, along with numerous of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Stout Phillips Chapel in Wewoka, OK. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
