Carzett Madkins
Carzett Bruner Madkins was a lifetime resident of Wewoka, OK and departed this life on July 15, 2021 in Shawnee, OK. Carzett was born to Archie Madkins and Ida B. Elliott Madkins on November 2,1947 in Wewoka OK.
Carzett attended high school at Butner and later joined the Army in 1968 where he served his country with courage and determination throughout the Viet Nam conflict and was later discharged in 1974 with the rank and title of Sergeant. After his honorable service he was a skilled forklift operator for Lucent Technology Telecommunications.
Carzett was a loving father to his children and brother to his sibling.
Mr. Madkins is preceded in death by his parents, two grandchildren and one brother, Lawrence Madkins.
Carzett leaves behind his children to cherish his memories: Trina Gray and her spouse Greg of Wewoka; Kasandra Thomas and Keith of Wewoka; Lakesha Simpkins of Oklahoma City; Shar’meka Mayfield and her companion Dewayne Dorsey and Carzett A. Mayfield along with his 28 grandchildren; his siblings Marvin Madkins of Wewoka, David Madkins of Seminole, Stanley Madkins of Wewoka, Lynford Madkins of Oklahoma City and Sandra Expose of Wewoka and Gregory Beavers Jr. and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held on July 23, 2021 at Stout Phillips Funeral Chapel. Pastor Michael Brooks will be officiating.
Pall bearers include Marvin Madkins, David Madkins, Stanley Madkins, and Lynford Madkins, Linart Lincoln, Lincoln Perry Jr. Hugh Owens and Kevin Brooks.
Flower girls Stephanie Bruner, Krystal Jackson, Kristony Thomas, and De’Ambri Beavers.
