Hazel Spears

Hazel LaVergne Spears, age 79 departed this life on Saturday, August 16, 2019 at her home.

She was born April 6, 1940 in Seminole, OK to the late Virgil Finis Mantooth and Ida Alice Chasteen. She was a graduate of Poteau High School.

Preceding Hazel in death are her parents, husband Vernon Joe Spears, brothers Ray, Charles, Harold, Loyal, Virgil Mantooth.

Survivors include her three children Keith Spears and wife Melinda of New Lima, Frankie Spears and wife Nancy of Shawnee, Tonya Stief and husband Mike of Seminole, eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren two great-great-grandchildren and one on the way, brother, Richard Mantooth of Moore, OK, sister, Helen Crawford of Muskogee, OK, sister-in-law, Donna Mantooth of CA and Marcella Mantooth of Horntown and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, August 23, 2019 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Carl Whitfield officiating.
