Dakota Underwood

Underwood Dakota Joseph Underwood, Okemah resident, passed away on November 2, 2024 in Shawnee, OK at the age of 17.

Dakota is survived by his father, Waylon Andrew Underwood; mother, Kathryn Jolleen Shepard; maternal grandmother, Carole Summers; brother, Cainen Shepard; sister, Emma Shepard; uncle, Noah Underwood; two nephews, and many other family and friends.

Dakota was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David Underwood; maternal grandmother, Joanne Underwood and maternal grandfather, Eugene Summers.

Dakota will be taken to Apehkv (Arbeka) Church at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 11, 2024. The wake will be held at the church Monday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Apehkv (Arbeka) Church with Ray Tainpeah officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Creek Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
