Stella Webster
Stella J. (Larney) Webster, 81, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away, Friday, January 24, 2020, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Stella was born on July 27, 1938 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Bunnie and Louannie Larney.
Stella graduated from Strother High School and after graduating from high school she attended and graduated from Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas.
She later ventured into the workforce and worked as an administrative clerk with the Department of Defense at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, Oklahoma and later transferred to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, until her retirement.
Stella married Richard Louis Webster, now deceased, of Dayton, Ohio. Stella returned to Seminole, Oklahoma to be with her family and friends.
During her younger years, Stella enjoyed playing and managing a fastpitch softball team. Stella’s retirement years consisted of watching late night TV and spending time at casinos. She organized and was president of “Buckeye RV’s “of Ohio.
Stella leaves behind one uncle; Roley Harjo of Shawnee, Oklahoma, two brothers Cecil R. and Jean Larney of Seminole, Oklahoma and Bill R. and Janet Larney of Ada, Oklahoma, one sister; Lovena M. and Donald M. Smith of Wahepton, North Dakota, her nephews; Jeremy R. and Marly Larney of Seminole, Oklahoma, Kevin “ Kip” Larney of Seminole, Kyle and Tina Larney of Moore, Oklahoma and Charles R. Tiger of Seminole, great nephews; Russel l Bear and Sullivan R. Larney both of Seminole, Oklahoma, Cheii T. Larney of Moore, Oklahoma, Chusky R. Smith and Avery R. Smith both of Wahepton North Dakota; nieces; Regina F. Phillips of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Lovonna G. Tiger of Seminole, Oklahoma, Inetta L. Tiger of Nashville, Tennessee, Deidre Larney of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Stephanie A. Smith of Lawrence, Kansas and Sarah R. Smith of Wahpeton, North Dakota, great nieces; Aubrey A. Larney and Trinity “Cvse” Henington both of Seminole, Oklahoma and Aaliyah R. Smith of Wahpeton, North Dakota and a host of other family members, and friends.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
