Dorothy Overbey

Dorothy Ruth Overbey, age 77, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away January 20, 2020 in Harrah, Oklahoma.

She was born March 22, 1942 in Seminole, Oklahoma to parents Thomas B. Hendricks and Dortha Jean (Fowler) Hendricks.

She married Ronald Gene Overbey in Seminole and he preceded her in death.

Dorothy was an administrator at Pioneer Nursing Home and Seminole Estates Nursing Home in Seminole.

Dorothy is survived by her son; Dennis Overbey of Seminole, Oklahoma, daughter; Chrystal Lyle and her husband Casey of Seminole, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Nathan Brown, Mathew Overbey, Jason Loving, Misty Spears, Kelsey Kozel, Benjamin Overbey, Sydney Loving, Noah Overbey, Julie and Abbie Barneck, Lily Overbey, Meagan Barneck and Elijah Barneck and great-grandchildren; Alexx Walker, Axxel Loving, Gabby Brown, Ezra Overbey, Jaxx Bell and Jerry Jr. Bell, brothers; Marvin Hendricks and wife Maryanne, Jimmy Hendricks and wife Teresa and sisters; Helen Darr and Gail Hendricks all of Seminole, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughters; Rhonda Jean Overbey and Ramona Rhea Barneck and son; Ronald Gene Overbey, Jr.

The funeral service for Dorothy will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2020 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Alara Hospice Chaplain Larry E. Landtroop officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Noah Overbey, Benjamin Overbey, Mathew Overbey, Nathan Brown, Jason Loving and Casey Lyle.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
