Ellis Seminole resident, Shereata Ann Ellis, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024, in Shawnee, at the age of 67 years.

Shereata, the daughter of George and Mary (Chandler) Glenn, was born February 2, 1957, in Seminole. She graduated with the Bowlegs High School class of 1975. On January 23, 1981, she married Carl Ellis, in Bowlegs. Shereata was a retired clerical worker for OKDHS. Her grandchildren couldn’t have had a better grandmother, she’d do any and everything for them. Her family was her everything. Shereata also enjoyed her time with Joy Fellowship group at the Bowlegs Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Glenn; a sister, Janet Walker; and her grandmother, Cora Chandler.

Shereata is survived by her husband, Carl Ellis, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Kirby and Michelle Glenn, of Shawnee, Cody and Melody Ellis, of Seminole; eleven grandchildren, James Glenn, Mercedes Glenn, Hayden Ellis, Jackson Glenn, Ashlee Glenn, Cora Ellis, Josiah Glenn, Chesten Ellis, Landon Glenn, Jasper Glenn, and Madeline Glenn; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Stacy Glenn, of Bowlegs; and she was a special great aunt to Michael Walker and Nathaniel Mendinghall.

Services will be Monday, November 4, at 11:00 A.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, with Carl Whitfield officiating. Interment to follow at the Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
