John Wesley Seifried Jr.
John Wesley Seifried Jr., life-long Seminole resident, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024 at his home, at the age of 85. John was born March 9, 1939 in Seminole, OK to John proudly served in the United States Army and retired from the United States National Guard. He served in Germany during the Vietnam War and was a Bronze Star recipient. He retired from his career as road foreman for Seminole County District 2. He also worked for Strother Schools and served on the school board for many years. John is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bobbie Seifried of the home; two sons, John Seifried and wife, Patty and Mark Seifried and wife, Doris; daughter, Leslie Cooper and husband, Stacy; seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and one more on the way and many other family and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents; John and Susie Seifried; brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Mae Seifried; sister and brother-in-law, Mable and Loyd Vulgamore.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Church of Christ at Little with Minister Rusty Dawson officiating. Interment will follow with military honors at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
