David Eugene Colvin
Colvin David Eugene Colvin, Shawnee, OK resident, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at his home at the age of 60. David was born on November 7, 1963 in Seminole, OK to Kenneth Eugene “Sarge” and Mary Ann (Works) Colvin. He grew up in Seminole, but spent the last 25 years in Shawnee. David married Cathy Taylor on July 24, 1999 in Shawnee, OK. He worked as a machinist for Georg Fischer Central Plastics.
David enjoyed hunting with his son, working with his cattle, going to the lake and taking the pontoon boat out. He loved spending time with his grandbabies. He never met a stranger and was always open and loving to everyone. David took joy in sitting with his dogs Daisy and Blaze on his lap. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs and OU football. David enjoyed talking to his neighbors, Marty and Jimmy. He was a member of Noizy Toyz Car Club.
David is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Colvin; wife, Cathy; daughter, Heather Rochelle Colvin and Ulyesses Beavers of Seminole; step-daughter, Catie McBay and fiancé, Sean Colley of Shawnee, OK; step-son, Chris McBay of Shawnee, OK; brother, John Colvin and wife, Tracy of Earlsboro, OK; six grandchildren, Hailey, Mayce, Magic and Arica Colvin, Easton and Grant McBay and many other family and friends.
David was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Eugene Colvin “Sarge” and son, Kenneth Eugene Colvin.
Those serving as casket bearers will be Chris McBay, Patrick Austin, Dewayne Lozer, David Lozer, Kenneth Ross and Gilbert Ross Sr.
Honorary casket bearers will be John Colvin, Caleb Colvin, Gerald Colvin, Erick Hilton, Gilbert Ross Jr. and Easton McBay.
Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024 and from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
