Ruth Ann Bondoni
McLoud resident, Ruth Ann Bondoni, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2024 in McLoud.
Ruth Ann, the daughter of Amond and Katie Louise (Tiger) Harjo, was born November 30, 1948, in Seminole. Ruth Ann graduated from Bowlegs High School, with the class of 1967. She then attended Seminole Junior College, and finally she went to technical school in San Jose, California. On November 4, 1972, Ruth Ann married Howard “Lindsey” Bondoni, in Sasakwa. Ruth Ann was a seamstress, a Seminole patchwork designer, she was involved with cultural preservation, she loved her travels to Florida, and was an avid movie watcher. The matriarch of her family, Ruth Ann was a proud member of the Ocese Band, Wind Clan, and loved being involved in her Seminole culture.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amond and Katie “Louise” Harjo; her sisters, Jamie Hawkins and Elaine “Kim” Harjo; and a son, Juston Bondoni.
Ruth Ann is survived by her husband, Lindsey Bondoni, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Theron and Shantay Bondoni, of Broken Arrow; daughter, Tina Bondoni, of McLoud; brothers, Howard “Rusty” Harjo, of Claremore, Keith Harjo, of Konawa, Darby and Gale Harjo, of Pink, Randall “Bo” Harjo, of Wewoka, and Damond Harjo, of Konawa; sisters, Clarissa Cole, of Wagoner and Justine and Ross Crowl, of Seminole; four grandchildren, Lindsey Harjo, Kianne Wahpekeche, Mycah Wahpekeche, and Takora Wahpekeche; along with many other family members and friends.
Casket bearers will be Chad Cole, Chase Cole, Shaun Fixico, Brian “Bumper” Fixico, Joseph Davis, Michael Shane Crowl. Honorary casket bearers are Carolyn Cathey and Betsy Bender.
A wake service will be Sunday evening, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M, at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
Services will be Monday, July 8, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, with interment to follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
