Ella Mae Murray

Murray Ella Mae Murray age 89, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. She was born April 10, 1935 in Lima, Oklahoma to the late B. Martin and Ruby L. (Hale) Burton. She married Bobby Lawrence Murray on May 12, 1953 in Van Buren, Arkansas.

She enjoyed crocheting, going camping, fishing, working in her flower beds, volunteering at Wewoka Schools, teaching her grandchildren how to read, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby Murray; son, Jimmy Murray; grandson, Billy Dawn Murray; great grandson, Seth Johnson; siblings, Leonard Martin, Juanita Matthews, Vera Jane McDonald.

Ella Mae is survived by her children, Johnny Murray and wife Cindy of Wewoka, OK, Jackie Smith of Wewoka, OK; daughter in-law, Kay Murray; grandchildren, Beverly Murray, Stephanie Stafford, Shawn Murray, Hollie Beeler, Stacy Johnson, Chelsea Murray, Nevaeh Smith, Malaki Smith; 15 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; brother, Alvie Martin of Wewoka, OK, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June18, 2024 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel in Wewoka, OK with Pastor Dan Factor officiating. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, OK.

Pallbearers: Rodney Marin, Joseph Smith, Chris Miller, Bryan Beeler, Xavier Ledezma, Matt Sanders.

Honorary Pallbearers: Canyon Stafford, Collin Stafford, Zayden Johnson, Bill Smith, Donald Bryant.
