Roman Marcellus Cox, 22, formerly of Maud, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at his home in Oklahoma City.

Roman, the son of Windy Cox, was born November 29, 2001, in Ada, Oklahoma. After growing up in Maud, he and his family moved to Lexington, where he graduated with the Lexington High School class of 2020. Roman settled in Oklahoma City, and after several jobs, he found the one he absolutely loved with J-Mar Carpet and Flooring Service.

He LOVED playing football for the Maud Tigers, even though they didn’t win a lot of games, he just wanted to play!!!

He LOVED playing his X-Box with all his friends, even though he seldom lost, he was a sorer winner cause he would sure rub it in!!

And he LOVED his family, he made sure to tell them everyday he loved them!!

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joan Condulle-McGill; great grandmother, Addie Harjo; and great grandfather, Thomas Condulle.

Roman is survived by his mother, Windy McGill-Cox Cox and her partner, Randy Foote; his big sister, Pyper Joan McGill; two uncles, Thomas McGill and Royce McGill (aka Gangka); two aunts, Tina “Bear” Armstrong, and Kim Stockdale; his cousins, Tasha McGill, Jameson Gordon, Addie McGill, and Thomas Trey McGill, (who he called his brother); along with many other family members and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 2:00 P.M., at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, with Butch Bradley officiating. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
