Florene Weger

Weger Florene Weger passed away Wednesday, November 1st, 2023 at Heritage Village Nursing Center in Holdenville, Oklahoma at the age of 91.

Florene was born September 23rd, 1932 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Arthur Carter and Dora Jane (Milum) Carter. She attended Wetumka public school. Florene married Ishmael Leon Weger on September 19, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a shade maker for Big Yank Clothing Factory in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Florene loved the most spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading, cooking and playing cards.

Florene is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ishmael, children; Danny Weger, Michael Weger, Danny Weger, Cathy Sipes, Larry Weger, siblings; Chlorene Carter, Andrew Carter, Gene Carter and grandson. She is survived by her children; Sharon Bryant of Seminole, Janie Pierce and husband Eric of Allen, Pamela Calvert, brother Wildon Carter of Wesley Chapel, Florida, sister-in-law Dorothy Carter of Wewoka, daughter-in-law Margot Weger of Hot Springs, Arkansas and son-in-law Jimmy Sipes of Wewoka. Florene is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 3, 2023 at Harvey Road Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma with Pastor Colton Arbuckle officiating.

Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
