W.D. Jett

W.D. Jett, age 69, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023.

He was born on August 26, 1954, in Beaver, Oklahoma, the son of Winton Jett and Billie (Gardener) Jett.

W.D. was a Laverne (Oklahoma) High School valedictorian. He graduated from Southwestern University with a Biology degree, before moving on to Oklahoma University College of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He was in private practice for almost 40 years in Seminole, Oklahoma. He had recently retired to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.

He enjoyed playing golf, spending time with his grands and watching sports, especially those Boomer Sooners.

He was preceded in death by his parents and survived by his life partner of 27 years, Shelley Walker; his children, Rachael (Michael) Johnson, Cullen (Taren) Jett, Cody (Callie) Walker and Alexis (Taylor) Stokes; eight grandchildren, Michiah (Bailey), Kaiden, Ellie, Tegan, Cutter, Kizzie, Doc and Case; his brother, Stan (Amy) Jett; his sister, Cathy (Steve) Arnall; extended family and a host of wonderful friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
