Patsy Lavern McGehee, Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023 in Seminole, at the age of 87. Patsy was born on July 3, 1936 in Wewoka, to LeRoy McQueter Posey and Madge Amelia (Jones) Posey. She grew up and spent most of her life in Wewoka, Oklahoma. On July 4, 1958 she married the love of her life, Jerry Alexander McGehee in Wewoka.

Patsy enjoyed reading and studying her bible, growing and caring for her plants and flowers, going to garage sales, watching TV and entertaining her family.

Patsy is survived by her daughter, Jerry Pat “J.P.” Grant and Ed Keeley; grandson, Chad Grant and wife, Jessica and their children, Caedon, Brooks, Hesston and Granger; granddaughter, Kelly Lucas and husband, Fielding and their children, Leightyn and Addie; sister-in-law, Ilene McGehee; numerous nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Madge Posey; loving husband, Jerry McGehee and brother and sister-in-law, Don and Christine Posey.

Those serving as casket bearers will be Dean Galleciez, Jack Horn, Ed Keeley, Chad Grant, Donnie Posey, Fielding Lucas and Kevin Bain. Honorary casket bearers are Caedon Grant and Zack Horn.

Viewing will be Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with J.P. Grant officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
