Curtis Wayne Young, Seminole resident, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 in Shawnee at the age of 56. Curtis was born on January 2, 1967 in Seminole to John Young and Nellie Grace (Campbell) Young. He grew up in Seminole. He married Audra Thomas on September 24, 1994 in Seminole. He worked at Wrangler for over 20 years. Curtis earned his Associates Degree in Business at Seminole State College. He enjoyed his career as a gaming technician for AGS (American Gaming Systems) for over 15 years.

Curtis enjoyed going to Braums and talking with the gang, going to the lake, listening to 80’s music and watching TV especially the Andy Griffith Show. He was a member of Seminole First Assembly of God church. Curtis also enjoyed working in his shop. He loved following his daughter around with her Cheer activities.

Curtis is survived by his wife of 28 years, Audra Young; daughter, Ashley Young; two brothers, Tracy Young and wife, Mary and Terry Young and wife, Nancy; sister, Nancy Ladd and husband, Jim; and many other family and friends.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents.

Those serving as casket bearers will be Brian Jolly, Dathan Thomas, Jonathan Young, Dustin Shepherd, Scott Mansell and Darus Mills.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with Pastor Doyle Long and Pastor Jeff Nance officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
