Sandra Joyce “Nanny” Terney peacefully entered into eternal rest on November 16, 2022. Born February 28, 1940 in Shawnee, OK to D.T. and Marie Chancellor, Joyce “Nanny” was the oldest girl of four children. Joyce excelled in sports from an early age, in particular basketball at Dale High School where she graduated from in 1958. Joyce also rode in a horseback precision drill team for rodeos for the grand entry.

She met the love of her life Clarence Eugene Terney in 1958, and married in July of 1959. They welcomed their first son Mike Terney in 1960 and second son Jimmy Terney in 1962. Joyce worked at Wrangler or VF Jeans Wear for 27 years and retired in 2004. Joyce loved to garden and farm. What “Nanny” loved most was watching her great-granddaughters Brooklyn, Kealey, and Courtney in anything they did. Nanny loved with all of her heart and soul. She will be greatly missed.
