David Elliott

Services for David Lee Elliott, 68, Mead, OK, are 2:00 P.M., Friday July 1st, at New Life Church in Wewoka, OK. The Rev. Russell Ryker will officiate. Family and friends are invited to lunch at noon before the services. Burial follows at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka. David’s viewing will be held at the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home on Wednesday 1:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. & Thursday 9:00 A.M.-7:00 P.M.

Mr. Elliot passed away Monday, June 27, 2022 in Colbert, OK. He was born August 30, 1953 in Kemmerer, Wyoming to Emit Lee Elliott and Lois Sisco Elliott House. Mr. Elliot started school in Marysville, California then spent 3rd-11th grade in Garland, Texas. In 1970 the family moved to Wewoka where David graduated in 1971. David’s first jobs were in Garland where he mowed lawns, had a paper route, worked in fast food and as a shoe salesman, all before the age of 17. David was later employed by OG&E as a lineman from 1972 to retirement in 2015.

Mr. Elliott’s hobbies included, motorcycle riding, road trips, hunting, playing dominoes and he truly enjoyed family gatherings.

Mr. Elliott married his wife Sheliah Eubank Elliott of 35 years in 1986. Survivors include his wife, Sheilah Eubank Elliot, Mead, OK. His mother Lois Sisco Elliot House, Harrison, AR. Children, David Elliott and wife Shonda, Decatur, Texas; Louwanna Zortman-Muse and husband Mike, Sacse, Texas; Danny Elliott and wife Amanda, Haslet, TX; Darren Gregory and wife Tina, Ada, OK; Two sisters, Ann Catlett, Ada, OK; Cresha Elliott, OKC, OK; Grandchildren, Randon Gregory and wife Blakeley, Ada, OK; Rainer Gregory and wife Samantha, Ada, OK, Derrick Zortman, Plano, TX; Torri Stapleton, Haslet, TX; Blain Upshaw, Decatur, TX; Noah Elliott, Lubbock, TX; Maci Elliott, Haslet, TX; Nolan Elliott, Haslet, TX; Garrett Upshaw, Decatur, TX; Andrew Muse, Sachse, TX; 5 Great-Grandchildren and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his father Emit Lee Elliott.

Pallbearers will be Randon Gregory, Rainer Gregory, Noah Elliott, Blain Upshaw, Garrett Upshaw, and Derrick Zortman.

Honorary Bearers are Carver Gregory, Andrew Muse, Nolan Elliott, and Tim Eubank.
