Karen Williams
Karen Renee Williams (Reese) or “Sweet Thang” was born on June 4, 1960, in Seminole, Oklahoma to Thelma Williams and Preston Reese. She departed life on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Karen grew up in Seminole, Oklahoma and graduated from Seminole High School where she was a part of the drill team and was crowned basketball homecoming queen. She attended Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech where she received various awards and accolades. Later in life, she went to East Central University (ECU) in Ada where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
She had the pleasure of working for Wal-Mart, Wrangler, Long John Silvers and KFC in Seminole, Oklahoma. After graduating from ECU she started her career with the Department of Environmental Qualities (DEQ) as a Budget Analyst. After 13 years, she retired from the state of Oklahoma.
Karen gave her life to Christ, and was baptized at an early age at Galilee Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Jesse Woodfork Sr.
Karen enjoyed, more than anything, the time that she spent with her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchild. She loved watching any sports associated with the University of Oklahoma. The Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Lakers also had her heart. She was loved by so many, including her aunts Lolita O’Guinn, Joyce Carolina, Beatrice Williams, and her uncle AZ Jones…She was loved profoundly by her nieces, nephews, cousins, step-relatives, and friends.
Karen is survived by her soulmate and love of her life, Eddie Louie Sr., her twin son, Eddie Louie Jr., her twin daughter, Letitia Daniels, her stepchildren Kelvin Olden and wife Abby Olden, her stepchild Eli Louie, her son Gregory Reese, and her daughter Rosalyn Karl and son-in-law Steve Karl.
Karen is also survived by her sister Cassandra Fabre, her sister Chiquita Overstreet and brother-in-law Benny Overstreet, her brother Kelvin Reese and sister-in-law Zina Reese, her sister Paulette Reese, her brother Gilbert Reese and sister-in-law Tywanna Reese, her brother Jake Preston Evans and sister-in-law Monica Evans, and her baby brother Mark Reese.
She is also survived by her granddaughter Chanysse Louie, her grandson Jalan Daniels, her granddaughter Tijah Johnson, her grandson, Jaiden Daniels, her granddaughter Sierra Karl, her granddaughter Aubrey Olden, her granddaughter Amelia Olden, grandson, Zackary Thompson and her great granddaughter Brooklyn Louie. She also has another great grandchild on the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents Thelma Williams and Preston Reese and her brother Edwin Cook.
The graveside service for Karen will be at 12 noon on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma with Mickey Shaw officiating.
