Gettie Joybell “Joy” Barlow Anderson of Seminole, Oklahoma, passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 4, 2022, at the age of 82. She was born December 25, 1939, in Seminole to Frances “Frank” Melton Welliver and Mary E. (Barrett) Welliver. She was a high school graduate. She married Glen D. Anderson in Seminole and he passed away on January 2, 2002. Joy worked at Wrangler for many years.
Left to cherish Joy’s memory are her sons Clyde of Yukon, Oklahoma and Scott of Shawnee, Oklahoma, her brother; Amos Welliver of Shawnee, Oklahoma and her sisters; PJ and Gerry Fuska of Houston, Texas and Sandy Rusher of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Graveside memorial services for Joy will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma with Jimmy and Nita Moreland officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
