Virgil Phillip “Dumpling”

Wood, Jr., age 54, passed away on July 31, 2019 in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born on September 27, 1964 in Clovis, New Mexico to parents Virgil Phillip Wood, Sr. and Mary (Mondragon) Wood. He attended Bowlegs school in Bowlegs, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.

Dumpling is survived by his father; Virgil Phillip Wood, Sr., his brother; Phillip Wayne Wood of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, his sister; Donna Wood Mason of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, his uncle; Waylon Sparks of Shawnee, Oklahoma, his aunt; Monica Long of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, uncles and aunts; George and Barbara Washington of Seminole, Oklahoma and Wallace and Carol Wood of Sierra Vista, Arizona, cousins; Clarissa Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kayla Peel, Gaylon "Bunky" Peel and Mitzi Peel, all of Clovis, New Mexico, nieces; Khalli Sparks of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Hailey Long of Tecumseh, Oklahoma and his nephew; Nicholas Wayne Long of Tecumseh, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Wood, his brother; Wade Wood and his sister; Jathanna Wood.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 5, 2019 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, 1001 N. Milt Phillips Avenue in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
