Joy Molloy, our dear mother & grandmother, went to Heaven on 10/17/2021.

She grew up in Seminole, OK during the Depression recalling her childhood as “idyllic.” Because she loved to jitterbug, her teenage friends nicknames her “Boogie.”

In Seminole, Joy met & married the love of her life, Bill Molloy. They moved to Worland, WY, where Bill worked on his uncle’s cattle ranch. Upon their return to Oklahoma, Bill entered the energy industry & Joy attended & graduated Summa Cum Laude from Central State Collage (U.C.O.) with a teaching degree. She taught 4 th grade while raising her 2 children, & enjoyed teaching for 30 years.

Joy was an excellent pianist who loved to play for her own enjoyment & relaxation. She was also an avid reader & dog lover, but was in her true element when cooking & baking for family, especially during the holidays. Joy was the most perfect cook on the planet, but she regularly described her meals as “not fit to eat.”

During her 69 years of marriage to Bill, they, their children, and later their grandchildren, traveled together, often to their beloved Colorado mountain home where they skied, rode motorbikes, ATV’s, jeeps offroad, & explored ghost towns. Joy’s greatest happiness was her grandchildren. They were “perfect into every way,” & she loved them unconditionally, showering gifts, hugs, kisses, mac & cheese, & more upon them. She left them numerous memories of her frank opinions, often humorously expressed with a bit of salty language.

Joy was predeceased by her parents, Fred & Nadine Williams; sister, Rosemary Morgan & her beloved, Bill.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Keith) Clark; son, Fred (Renee) Molloy; grandchildren, Nick & Alex Clark, & Kalen & Hannah Molloy.

The family will gather together at the Colorado mountain home for a celebration of Joy’s life.
