Joan (Howard) Imes of Oklahoma City and former resident of Wewoka passed away Tuesday September 21, 2021 at the age of 71.
Joan was the daughter of the late Robert Howard and Margaret (Pierce) Howard.
She was born December 13, 1949 in Falfurrias, Tx
She graduated from Wewoka High School and went on to attend St Anthony School of Nursing where she earned her Associates Degree. She retired as a Registered Nurse from OSSO Surgical Center.
Joan married the love of her life John Imes on July 27, 1983.
She loved spending time with her grandkids, taking care of people and her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Bob Howard, Pascal Howard and John Campbell Howard, 2 sisters, Mary Jean Howard and Mary Margaret Howard.
Those left to cherish her memories are husband John Imes of the home, Daughter Mary Kathleen Imes of OKC. Siblings Margaret Ann Snyder and Husband Dr. David Snyder of OKC, Barbara Mowbray Griggs of OKC, Jamie Howard and wife Tracy of Norman, Phillips Howard and wife Jane of Wewoka, Lee Pierce Howard of OKC. Grandchildren Brinleigh Jean Imes and John Ray Custard and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pall Bearers will be James Howard, Jeremy Howard, Kody Custard John Howard, Phillip Howard and Kyle Kiker.
Rosary will be Friday September24, 2021 at 6:30pm at the Stout Phillips Chapel.
Services are scheduled for 10:30am Saturday September 25, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Seminole, OK with Father Joe Schwarz.
Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka.
