Jimmie D. Morgan, 84, longtime Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away, Sunday, September 12, 2021.

Jimmie was born July 20, 1937 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Dorothy (Green) Morgan and F.G. “Faye” Morgan.

Jimmie grew up and spent many years in Okemah, before moving to Seminole in 1969, where he spent the remainder of his life.

Jimmie was the longtime owner/ operator of Tiger Trucks, Inc. with his two sons; Curtis and Cary Morgan.

He was a former member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, Seminole Elks Lodge, Honorary member of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and served in the Oklahoma National Guard.

He was honored by the Oklahoma Historical Society as Oilman of the year. Jimmie was an Extra Class Ham radio operator, an avid gun collector. He had many hobbies that he enjoyed, including playing dominoes and cards, going to the casino and watching wildlife. Jimmie also enjoyed fishing, hunting, ranching, and traveling in his motorhome. He loved shopping for bargains, making deals at flea markets and garage sales. Jim played Santa at the Elks Lodge for many years. He loved family gatherings, and dearly loved his family and friends.

Jimmie married Carole Ruth (Clark) Morgan on June 27, 1959 in Okemah, Oklahoma and they enjoyed 62 very happy years together.

Jimmie is survived by his loving wife Ruth Morgan of the home in Seminole, two sons and daughters-in-law; Curtis and Pam Morgan and Cary and Shannon Morgan both of Seminole, and a daughter and son-in-law Carole and Kevin O’Daniel of Seminole, his grandchildren; KC and Angela Yott, Chase and Stacey Yott, Tyler and Lindsey Morgan, Jessie and Eric Shepherd, Taryn Morgan, Callie Crabtree, Turner Morgan, Dondi and Ben Fox, Megan and John Coffman and Damien O’Daniel, and nineteen great grandchildren.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Charlie O. Morgan, sister Geneva Maris, nephews Charlie “Digger” Morgan and Kenny Morgan.

Graveside services are planned for 10:30 A.M, Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Little Cemetery, North of Seminole, Oklahoma, with Rev. Doyle O. Long officiating. His grandsons and Loyd Davis will be casket bearers and honorary bearers will be his many friends and oilfield colleagues.
