Juanita Lucille Hendryx Mann, beloved of her family, was born in Tahlequah on August 2, 1921 to Clyde and Mary Ella Hendryx. She passed away in Oklahoma City on January 6, 2021.

Juanita was the oldest and longest surviving of their 6 children.

She graduated from Prairie View High School in 1940 and from Business College in 1941.

In 1943 she married the love of her life, Lenver Mann, and she worked in a factory supporting the war effort while he served in the navy. They welcomed their daughter Barbara Gail in 1945. After the war ended, they settled in Oklahoma, where Juanita worked as a bookkeeper in various businesses around Del City.

Juanita and L.B. retired to a farm near Cromwell, and enjoyed their retirement together raising cattle, gardening and singing with their friends around Oklahoma. They moved to Shawnee shortly before L.B.’s death. In later years, Juanita found a second love in her dear companion, Frank Duggan. Juanita moved to Oklahoma City in 2003. Juanita’s family adored her and enjoyed her company for almost 100 years. The many who preceded her in death and the grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews who survive her remember her welcoming, loving nature. She was a good country cook, loved gospel music, board games, puzzles and coloring.

A memorial service has been planned on August 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Little Cemetery in Seminole. In lieu of flowers her family asks that you call your loved ones and spend some time together letting them know how much you care. This would make her smile.
