James Richard Lunsford, 73 , passed away on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Holdenville General Hospital.
He was born on August 23, 1948 in Wewoka to the late Douglas Lunsford and Colleen Lunsford.
James attended Wewoka High School where he met his wife, Linda. They married on August 26, 1967.
James honorably served his country in the US Army National Guard for 10 years.
His hobbies included restoring antique cars, hunting, fishing, drag racing and riding motorcycles.
A Freemason, he owned and operated NLC Construction in Wewoka. James was a member at Midway Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother John Lunsford, and his sister Mary Ann Smith.
He is survived by his wife Linda Lunsford of the home, daughter Jamie Mastny, son Josh Lunsford; five grandchildren including Morgan Farani and husband Adam, Hunter Lunsford, Taylor Lunsford, Reagan Mastny, Tyler Mastny; four great grandchildren, Paytan Lunsford, Stevee Lunsford, Aiden Farani, Raycee Lunsford; and sister Sherry Lunsford.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, July 22nd at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka.
Pallbearers are Shannon Smith, Stephen Powell, Don Madron, Kenneth Johnson, Louis Johnson, and Buck Wilson.
