Lloyd Beasley

Lloyd “Bruce” Beasley, 72, of Bentonville, Arkansas passed peacefully from this life to his eternal home Friday, April 30, 2021. His daughter, Vicky Seamans, and his sister, June Castoe, were at his side. Bruce was born October 12, 1948 in Wiesbaden, Germany to Bobby Joe and Connie Beasley (Steinmetz). He was the oldest of three children and had two younger sisters, June and Dina. He was preceded in death by his mom, Connie.

Growing up in Seminole and Midwest City, Oklahoma, he was active in Boy Scouts and was a paperboy for the Seminole Producer. He loved to hunt, fish, and go camping with his family. At 18, he joined the US Army and proudly retired after nearly 21 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served in Long Binh. He did tours in Frankfurt and Aschaffenburg, Germany, Fort Sheridan (Illinois), Washington, D.C., and MacDill AFB (Tampa, Florida).

Bruce is survived by his dad, Bobby Joe Beasley; daughter Vicky and her husband, Michael Seamans, of Gilbert, Arizona; his son, Robert Beasley and his wife Kristie, of Azle, Texas; sister June and her husband Steve Castoe, of Pineville, Missouri; sister Dina and her husband Dale Stegink, of Dale City, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three nephews, and three nieces.

Bruce loved God, country, family, his dog Mandy, drawing, and helping others in need. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516 or Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, 1378 June Self Drive, Bethel Heights, AR 72764, two of the organizations he honored.

The family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Hospital of Rogers for their exceptional care given to Bruce during his final days and for their compassion towards his family during this difficult time.

Bruce’s final resting place will be in Midwest City, Oklahoma where a military honors ceremony will be held at a later date.
