Melinda Ann Newton, 70, of Wewoka, Oklahoma departed at OU Medical Center on March 29, 2021. She was born June 11, 1950, in Holdenville, Oklahoma to the late Eldon Pemberton and Delores Bonita Harrison. Melinda was a cement finisher at a construction company.
Survivors include daughters Shellee Sharp of Heber Spring, Arkansas, JoDee Sanders of Holdenville, Oklahoma, son Darrell Gray of Llano, Texas; sisters Jeannie Timmons of Austin, Texas and Jane Pemberton of Gray, Washington and eight grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were parents Eldon Pemberton and Delores Bonita Harrison, brother Paul Pemberton, and one great grandchild.
Memorial service will be on Monday, April 5, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Stout-Phillips Chapel in Wewoka, Oklahoma.
