Nina Wood

Nina Faye Wood, 77 of Wewoka, Oklahoma departed Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Elmwood Manor Nursing Home.

Nina was born on October 19, 1943 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Mart and Virgie Pratt Weatherly. She worked for Security State Bank for 40 years and retired as the Executive Vice President. She was member of the Rotary Club and Wewoka Alumni Board. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family and grandchildren.

Preceded her in death were parents and husband Thomas “Jack” Wood; one sister Ann Huskey; one brother Bill Weatherly; one grandchild Dalton; four nephew Kevin Huskey, Darren McKeel, Chris Weatherly and Mike Huskey.

Survivors include children son Thom Wood & wife Shelly Marie Wood of Seminole, Oklahoma, daughter Shelly Renee Wood of Wewoka, Oklahoma; sister Bonnie McKeel of Shawnee, Oklahoma and nephew Jason Weatherly of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and four grandchildren Kayleigh, Kaleb, Kyle, and Haley; sister-in-law Cheryl Weatherly and other relatives and friends.

Graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Officiating Pastor Tommy Azlin. Viewing will be on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Stout-Phillips Chapel.

Honarary Pallbearers will be by Elmwood Manor Nursing Home staff.
