Ricky Williams
Ricky Scott Williams, age 39, Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed away August 28, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on November 23, 1980 to parents David Gurley, Sr. and Martha Louise Harjo. Mandy Williams, his grandmother, adopted him and raised him in Seminole, Oklahoma.
He married Meshell Williams on July 17, 2007 and sadly she passed away on January 29, 2017.
Ricky received his GED and worked as an automobile mechanic.
He is survived by his mothers Martha Harjo and Mandy Williams, son; Micheal Swisher of Seminole, Oklahoma, daughters; Savanna Wilson and Legend Burrier of Seminole, Oklahoma and Marissia Swisher of Seminole, Oklahoma, brothers; Manuel Guzman and wife Kelly of Mesa, Arizona, David Gurley, Jr. of Wewoka, Oklahoma and Randy Harjo and his wife Loretta of Okmulgee Oklahoma and sisters; Kathrine Hicks of Seminole Oklahoma and Felicia “Sugar” Hicks and husband Ricky of Frederick, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Meshell Williams, his grandpa; Cecil Harjo, great uncles; Charlie D. Harjo, Scotty Hulbutta and Leo Hulbutta, great aunts; Geneva Fox, Irene Fraizer, Margie Hall, Emma Bille and Lula Kaney, sisters; Melizzie (Midge) Hilburn and Pauline Guzman, uncles; Thomas John Harjo and Charlie Lumpkin, cousins; Robert Bullet, Raymond Fox and Charlene Hulbutta and his beloved chihuahua Lucy.
Ricky was taken to Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2020 for a wake service.
The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Sand Creek Eufaula Baptist Church with Houston Tiger, Kevin Fox and Eric Tholocco officiating. Ricky’s final resting place will be at the church cemetery.
Pall bearers will be Casey Hicks, Grant Harjo, Timothy Fry, Ricky Simons, Jeremy Wilcox, Nate Johnson, Toby Hulbutta, Jacob Robertson and Anthony Ray Hicks.
Honorary bearers will be Manuel Guzman, Randy Jarjo, Jackie Hulbutta, Jimmy Hulbutta, Tommy Hulbutta, Alvin Hulbutta, Adam Kaskaskie, J.D. Wilcox, Dave Wilcox and Neal Martin.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
