Walter Wise, Jr., age 59 and a life-long resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away August 29, 2020 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma. Rev. Houston Tiger will officiate, and burial will follow at the Douglas-Wise Family Cemetery north of Konawa.
Walter was born August 2, 1961 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Walter Wise, Sr. and Josephine (West) Wise.
He graduated from Konawa High School in 1981, and he went to Gordon Cooper Vo-tech in Shawnee, Oklahoma where he received a welding degree.
He worked for thirteen years for the Seminole Nation Casino.
He is survived by two brothers, Vincent and Kenny Wise, both of the home; five sisters, Linda Wise of the home, May Barnett of Holdenville, Oklahoma, Maxine Clifford of Pine Ridge, South Dakota, Constance Thlocco of Kansas City, Kansas, and Shiela Hooper of Wolf, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter, Sr. and Josephine Wise, and one brother, Leo Wise.
