Wanda W. (Davis) Smith passed from this earth Sunday, August 21, 2022 at the age of 88. She was born August 9, 1934 to Dona (Hinds) and George Davis in Lott, TX as the youngest of 4 children.

She graduated from Holdenville High School in 1952. On October 23, 1955 she married Harmon Kayle Smith in Wewoka, OK, and to this union was added 2 children, Steve and Teresa, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Wanda retired from SW Bell Telephone Co. after 30 years with perfect attendance. She was baptized into the body of Christ as a young adult and was secretary for the Wewoka Church of Christ for 12 years.

She was well known to all that knew her for her chicken and dressing she made for all church and family functions and get-togethers. She was a great cook who never made a meal with less than 5 or 6 courses and everyone loved her pies. But her favorite meal was a Sonic cheeseburger and a Dr. Pepper!

Wanda loved old movies (especially “Imitation of Life”) and loved watching golf on Sunday afternoons, which was funny to her family since she never played the game.

Cooking and shopping were her hobbies. She could literally shop from sun up til midnight.

She was loved and admired by many, especially her family and will be greatly missed.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law Golda Choate Tidmore (Jim), her father-in-law, Cy Smith, sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Dave LaPorte, brothers and sisters-inlaw, Jack and Anna Lee Davis, Bob and Penny Davis.

She is survived by her husband by her husband of 68 years Harmon Kayle Smith, son, Steve Smith, daughter, Teresa Smith Allen, grandchildren, Chad Smith, Michelle Smith Hargrave, Craig Campbell (Dee), Travis Campbell, Bryce Campbell, Levi Campbell (Candi), Sylvia Campbell Sterling (Kelly), and 10 great grandchildren.

Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 26, 2022 at Church of Christ in Wewoka, OK with burial at Oakwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her brothers- in-law, Max Smith and Bob Smith.
