Seminole resident Wanda “Marcine” Roberson passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 in Seminole.
Marcine, the daughter of Grover and Bertha (Bister) Mainord, was born February 10, 1929, in Bryant, Oklahoma. She graduated from Butner High School with the class of 1947. On July 8th, 1950, Marcine married William Leroy Roberson, in Seminole. Marcine and William were married for 47 years, prior to his passing on July 17, 1997. Marcine had a servant’s heart, she worked for 14 years at the Methodist Day Care; she also spent 10 years working at the Seminole Nutrition Center. She enjoyed doing word finds, crocheting, listening to Gospel music and reading her Bible, but nothing gave her joy equal to spending time with her family, she particularly enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren competing in sporting events.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents; a brother, Garland Mainord; sisters, Freda Fleming, Dean McNally, Hope Taylor, and Carolyn Dean; a grandson, Jeffrey Roberson; and a great granddaughter, Akira Haskin-Aulet.
Marcine is survived by her sons and daughtersin- law, Leroy and Mary Roberson, of Weatherford, OK, and Steven and Leslie Roberson, of Seminole; a daughter, Wanda Pierce, of Seminole; grandchildren, Randall Pierce, Brian Pierce, Michael and Deonda Roberson, Jessy Haskin, Ashley Haskin and Brian Aulet, Chloe and Jake Corum, Jeremie Roberson, Jessie and Tiffany Roberson, Jammie Wise, Cody Causey, Jordan Kerr, and these that she counted as her own, Levi, Emilee, Briana, Lane and Shelby; 23 great grandchildren; a brother, Gilbert Mainord of Enid; sisters and brother-in-law, Deloris Jennings of San Angelo, TX., Evelyn Stevens of Ardmore, OK., and Linda and Lynn Tipton, of Euless, TX; along with many others that she loved.
Services will be Friday, May 5, 2023 at 2:00 P.M., at the Assembly of God Church in Bowlegs. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
