Wanda Norene Callison, lifelong Seminole area resident, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 in Seminole, OK at the age of 78.

Wanda was born August 24, 1942 in Wewoka to parents Angie Lorene (Goss) Stafford and Wallace Edward “Pat” Stafford.

Wanda attended Seminole Public Schools and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Seminole, OK.

Wanda was married to Wendell L Pitts in 1960 and they had two daughters, Tammi Rich and Angi Watters.

She was employed for many years at Blue Bell and Wrangler.

She loved being a grandma & great grandma to all of her babies and was affectionately known by many as “Ninnie Wanda.”

She was an avid bingo player and reveled in her expertise and skill at dabbing many cards at once while helping others around her.

Wanda loved to travel with her family; going on many road trips, cruises, and flights around the world. She was known for her singing, whether in church, her car, or a competition on a cruise ship.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother, Glenn Edward Stafford.

Wanda is survived by her husband Tom Callison of Holdenville, OK; 1 sister-in-law, Loretta Stafford of Hot Springs, AR; Wendell L Pitts of Cromwell, OK and their 2 daughters, Tammi Rich (Kevin) of Newcastle, OK and Angi Watters (Lewie) of Seminole, OK; 8 grandchildren, Duane Nance Jr. of OKC, OK, Melissa Houck (Billy) of Tuttle, OK, Andrew Watters (Amanda) of Tampa, FL, Chelsea Robinson (Dillon) of Choctaw, OK, Mason Watters (Rebecca) of Hinesville, GA, and Zane, Olivia, and Grace Watters of Seminole, OK; 7 great grandchildren, Kobe (Katie) Holland of Ft. Collins, CO, Kacy Holland of Harrah, OK, Isaac, Levi, Reagan, and Kenzlee Houck of Tuttle, OK, and Wylie Watters of Hinesville, GA and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives who were all very special.

Public viewing will begin on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Swearingen Funeral Home. Viewing will also be available on Wednesday, December 30, 2020.

During this Extraordinary Time, the family asks for masks to be worn at all times while indoors for the service and viewing, and to please social distance. Close contact, like handshakes, hugs, and or kisses need to be saved for a later date and time. Thank you for being considerate to others by honoring these requests during this unique time.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Seminole located at 420 Reid Street, Seminole, OK 74868. Billy Houck will officiate. Burial will follow at Tate Mountain Cemetery in Seminole County.
