Timothy Harjo

Harjo Timothy Lee Harjo passed away Thursday, June 13th, 2024 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas at the age of 44.

Tim was born May 12th, 1980 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Jimmy Lee Harjo and Christine Harjo. Tim graduated from Holdenville High School in the Class of 1999. He worked for the City of Wewoka for 19 years until 2022. Tim was a member of the Cedar Creek Eufaula Baptist Church. Tim loved spending time with family. He enjoyed pool games, photography, concerts, OU football, Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston music and traveling.

Tim is preceded in death by his mother Christine Harjo, brother Jimmy Johnson, maternal grandparents Joseph & Rose Harjo, paternal grandparents; Barney & Togee “ATT” Harjo, Aunt Susie Harjo, Uncles; James Ray (Joe Buck) Harjo Sr., Leonard Harjo and John Harjo. He is survived by his wife Candace Harjo of the home, children; Devon Harjo, Phoenix Harjo, Johnathan Poindexter, Michael Unger, Joshua Genn, Dylan Genn, Ryleigh Genn, Xander Genn, Chloe Genn, Eleanor Waits, Jackson Waits Harjo, father, Jimmy Lee Harjo, sisters; Darleata Tiger and husband Jason of Seminole, and Natasha Harjo of Holdenville. Tim is survived by numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Devon Harjo, Jason Tiger Jr., Dylan Genn, James Harjo, Bubbah Bowen and Jordan Harjo. Honorary pallbearers are Xander Genn, Josh Genn, Johnathan Poindexter, Michael Unger, Bubba Harjo, T.J. Cully, Jackson Waits Harjo, Leonard Hulbutta, and Tim Long.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2024 at Cedar Creek Eufaula Baptist Church in Konawa, Oklahoma.

Interment will follow at the West-Harjo Family Cemetery. Dinner will be at Sand Creek Eufaula in Wewoka after the Interment.

Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
