Thelma Cocke
Thelma Ann Cocke, 88, of Wilburton, Oklahoma passed away on November 3, 2020 at her home.
Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the Jones Harkins Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2020 at Jones Harkins Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Wesley Cocke, Benjamin Cocke, Alyse Baldwin, Bailey Choate, Macey Cocke, Adam Cocke and Elizabeth Hawkins.
Ann was born on January 23, 1932 in Connerville, Oklahoma to John Downey “J.D.” Ferris and Maudie Mae (Threadgill) Ferris.
She married Robert Cocke on December 20, 1952 in Wilburton, Oklahoma.
Ann was a devoted minister’s wife, mother and grandmother.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and being a grandma.
She loved watching OSU football and basketball, and occasionally cheering for OU.
Ann enjoyed the simple life and one of her greatest enjoyment was sitting on the deck that William built and picking up pecans.
She is survived by her children: Robert Cocke, III and wife, Laura of Norman, John Cocke of Tulsa, William Cocke and wife, Layne of Wilburton, and Charles Wesley Cock and wife, Donna of Norman; her sister: Jerrie Nell Rich and husband, Bobby Joe of Maryland; a sister-in-law: Jackie Ferries of McLoud; her beloved eight grandchildren: Wesley Cocke and wife, Lauren of Oklahoma City, Benjamin Cocke and wife, Whitney of Norman, Alyse Baldwin and husband, Adam of Norman, Bailey Choate and husband, Nick of Dallas, TX, Macey Cocke of Norman, Jake Aldridge and wife, Taylor of Norman, Adam Cocke and wife, Sara Jane of Wilburton, Elizabeth Hawkins and husband, Jon of Oklahoma City; 13 great grandchildren: Coco, Lucy, Blakely, Wesley, Jr., Madelyn, Bentley, Lily, Harlow, Jane Anne Elizabeth, Finley, Pierson, Gunnar and Grey; nieces and nephews: Carol (Ferris) Albert of Katy, TX, Gayle Ferris of McLoud, Sheryl Ferris of McLoud, Mark Rich, Roger Rich and Pam Rich all of Maryland; her card game buddies: Bobby and Dian Marsee, and Joyce White; along with other family and friends.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents: J.D. and Maudie Ferris; her husband, Robert Cocke; and her brother: Roger Ferris.
