Sharon “Angel” Betty (Friedman) Norton, age 78 and a longtime resident of Asher, Oklahoma, passed away at Jasmine Estates in Oklahoma City on January 20th, 2024.

A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located West of Konawa, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Fr. Joseph Duggempudi will officiate, and burial will follow at Vista Cemetery. Lunch will be provided afterwards at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Sharon, nicknamed “Angel” was born November 17, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois to George A. Friedman and Betty Louise (Quinn) Friedman.

She is survived by one son, Michael Norton and wife, Karen of Michigan; daughter-in-law, Renee Norton; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and so many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Michael Norton; one son, Jeffrey Norton; one brother, Jack Friedman; and her beloved puppy, “Precious”.
