Ruth Carpenter

Ruth Ann (Graves) Carpenter, 75, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The daughter of Cagle Arrow and Vernie Irene (Carlton) Graves, Ruth was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on August 26, 1946. She grew up in Seminole and Bowlegs, Oklahoma, graduating from Bowlegs High School.

Ruth married Hollis Orville “Sonny” Carpenter on February 27, 1965.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hollis Orville “Sonny” Carpenter; siblings, Bernadine Minter, Dwayne “Doc” Graves, Bill Graves, and James Charles Graves.

She is survived by her four sons, Aaron Carpenter, Jonathan Carpenter, Christopher Gage Graves Carpenter, and Jesse James Graves Carpenter; brother, David Graves; sisters Bonnie Carter, Laquita Shepherd and husband Ron, and Sherry Graves; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

There will be a viewing from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard, Oklahoma. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at the Hill Side Church, Blanchard, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home.
