Ruby Lucille Robertson , age 89 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away December 9, 2024 at The Willows Assisted Living Center in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Konawa located at 129 S. Broadway under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Rev. Heath Sapp will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Casket bearers are Nick Estes, Nathan Enns, Matt Stephens, Josh McGuire, Mark Robertson, and Dustin Goodnight. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Ruby was born June 22, 1935 in Punkin Center, Oklahoma to Rube Dee Robertson and Mattie Lou (Hudson) Robertson. She graduated from Vamoosa High School in 1953, and she married James “Arnold” Robertson December 20, 1952 in Vamoosa. Ruby was the high school secretary for the Konawa Public School system for over twenty years, and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Konawa. She loved sewing, baking, cooking, and attending her ladies’ bible study class. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Les Robertson and wife, Shelley of Purcell, Oklahoma, and Don Robertson and wife, Sherita of Norman, Oklahoma; four granddaughters, Ashley Estes and husband, Nick, Riley Stephens and husband, Matt, Madison McGuire and husband, Josh, and Jessica Enns and husband, Nathan; four great grandchildren, Connor Estes, Ellie Estes, Jamey Stephens and Maverick Stephens; and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rube and Mattie Robertson, and her husband, Arnold Robertson.
