Roger Jones

Roger Roy Jones was born July 6, 1946 in Cyril, Oklahoma to Robert “Bob” Jones and Ruth (Johnson) Jones. He passed from this life on February 19, 2021 in Seminole at the age of 74.

Roger worked for many years as a machinist. He was a private person but he is remembered for his love of fishing and pool. Roger and Carmelita Coreen Palmer raised five children and he was always very protective of them.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth Jones, as well as his siblings, Rowena Coley, Butch Bosin, Patricia Twins, and Niles “Bill” Bosin.

Roger is survived by his children, Alexander Anthony Palmer, Jack Kevin Palmer, Alicia Faye Palmer, Gregory Shaun Palmer, and A.C. Jason Palmer. He is survived by 10 grandchildren and a new generation of great-grandchildren on the way.

A graveside service was held Friday, February 26 at 2:00pm at the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka with Rev. Larry Chesser, Sr. officiating. Interment was followed under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka and Weleetka.
