Robert Richard Tallbear

Robert Richard Tallbear, age 65 passed away January 2, 2024 at Purcell Municipal Hospital in Purcell, Oklahoma.

A funeral mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located three miles west of Konawa, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Fr. Joseph Duggempudi will officiate, and burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will begin Monday 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Robert was born August 12, 1958 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Alvin Tallbear and Johnnie Mae (Rhodd) Tallbear.

He is survived by one son, Robert Richard Tallbear, II of Asher, Oklahoma; two daughters, Estee Nichole Cervantes of Shawnee, and Jennifer Marie Tallbear of Denver, Colorado; two brothers, Alvin Tallbear of St. Louis, Oklahoma, and Floyd Tallbear, also of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Johnnie Tallbear, and one brother, John Tallbear.
