Ramona Faye (Harjo) Noriega passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at the age of 62 years.

Ramona was the daughter of Louis & Ella (Davis) Harjo, born on August 1, 1958, in Talihina, Oklahoma.

She was brought up in Sasakwa and attended Cully Schools through the eighth grade. She moved to Hartshorne to attend Jones Academy, and graduated Hartshorne High School with the Class of 1976.

She met and married Manuel Noriega in 1979, and they were blessed with five children: Carlos, Carmelita, Manuel, Belcher, and Derrick.

They raised their family in the Oklahoma City area, then moved to Tulsa in 1991.

Ramona moved to Wewoka and returned to the area of her childhood in 2005.

She was an active member of Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa.

She worked for the Seminole Nation as Lighthorse Dispatcher, and as Intake Specialist for Seminole Nation Roads.

She retired in 2013, and moved to Glenpool to live with her son, Carlos.

Ramona loved to cook, and enjoyed spending time in the casinos. She could always be counted on to help others whenever she could. More than anything, she loved her family. She loved going to her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, and being a part of anything her family was involved in. She is deeply loved, and will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis & Ella Harjo; one brother, Lloyd Lee Harjo; nephew Keith Harjo and niece Delissa Renee Harjo; her husband, Manuel Noriega; numerous other family members.

She is survived by five children: Carlos (Trina) Noriega of Glenpool, Carmelite (Chris) Natseway of Rio Rancho NM, Manuel Louis `Noonie’ Noriega of Tulsa, Belcher (Tara) Noriega of Varnum, and Derrick Noriega of Glenpool; seventeen grandchildren; two sisters, Wynema Peterson of Sasakwa and Peggy Wood of Konawa; four brothers: Vernon Harjo of Holdenville, Gilbert Harjo of Oklahoma City, Wilbert Harjo of Earlsboro, and Louis Harjo Jr. of Sasakwa; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 9, 2020, 2:00 p.m. at Spring Baptist Church in Sasakwa, and Ramona will be laid to rest at Harjo Family Cemetery. Rev. Kellos Walker and Rev. Jay Downing are the officiating ministers.

Pallbearers are Brandon Harjo, Adam Harjo, Ryne Harjo, Micco Cummings, Tristan Thomas, and Anthony Burris.

Honorary pallbearers are Brian Harjo, Tommy Palmer, Winfred Harjo, Bill Record, Daniel Sanders, and Chris Natseway.

Wake services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 6:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel, and on Sunday, November 8, 6:00 p.m. at Spring Baptist Church.

Visitation at the funeral home will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7.
